Success isn’t just about wealth, achievements, or checking off goals. True success, deep, lasting, soul-nourishing success, comes from within. It’s about feeling at peace, staying grounded, and living with purpose, reports The Hindu.

That’s where spiritual habits come in. Think of them as daily rituals for your soul to help you stay connected to yourself, others, and something greater than you. Try these spiritual habits to live a more successful, meaningful and fulfilling life.

Practice Daily Meditation or Prayer
Often, busy schedules make it easy to focus too much on the external, material world. Setting aside time for meditation or prayer creates a sacred moment each day. It helps reconnect to yourself. Think of it like a daily check-in, a chance to pause, breathe, reflect and connect to your higher self. The Harvard Gazette points out that you’ll also benefit from reduced stress, a calmer mood, better focus, and stronger resilience.

Cultivate a Positive Mindset
A positive mindset means seeing the blessings around you and to have faith in the future. According to a blog on Positive Psychology, it involves maintaining optimism and shifting attention away from negative thoughts. This becomes especially important during your darkest moments. Even when things get tough, keeping a positive mindset gives you the hope and courage to keep going. Despite hardship, you’ll continue to set meaningful goals and have faith in the future while engaging in self-care and positive self-talk.

Practice Forgiveness
When someone you care about hurts you, it can feel difficult to let go. But, holding onto grudges puts a stain on your soul. It festers into anger, resentment, and bitterness, which steals from your joy and spiritual growth. As the Mayo Clinic website explains, forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting what someone did to you. It involves releasing your anger and resentment over what happened. It removes the hate from your heart, and opens your life to compassion. In doing so, you also inspire those around you to practice the virtue of forgiveness.

Connect with Your Community
Participating in a faith community provides a support system and sense of purpose. In fact, people that stay active in a religious congregation live longer, healthier, and happier lives, according to a blog on Psychology Today. No matter your faith, make a point to engage in your community. Spending time with like minded people will help cultivate connection, a sense of belonging, and a network of support.

Seek Meaning Through Worship
According to the C.S. Lewis Institute, worship means respectful devotion to a force that deserves your highest regard. It involves cultivating a relationship with the divine and behaving with love, gratitude, and respect.

What does worship mean to you? Spirituality is deeply personal, and different religions have their own version of devotion to the divine. So, find your own pathway to loving and honoring a higher power. That might mean worshiping a god or gods. It could mean faith in your ancestors and spirit guides. Or, perhaps it simply means having awe for the universe. Take a moment each day to celebrate and respect the blessings around you. This helps build a relationship with a higher power, however you may define it.
