Why a Thousand Words Is Worth a Picture of a Happy, Smart Child [VIDEO]
See how the Talk, Read, Sing campaign got parents talking to their babies in the most creative of ways
When you take into consideration that 80% of a child’s brain is developed by the age of three, the words they hear up to that age are a very influential part of their development. That's why talking, reading and singing to babies helps them grow up to be smarter and happier. With that in mind, childhood development organization Too Small to Fail launched a campaign called "Talking Is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing" featuring a clothing line for babies covered with inventive things for parents to talk to their babies about. Watch this video to see some of the children and parents who benefited from the initiative and how the important message of communication was spread.
