Summertime, and the living is sweaty. But sweating is a vital part of life. Whether you sweat in the heat and humidity or when working out, sweating is one of the ways your body regulates its temperature. However, as it turns out, sweating does much more than just keep you cool.

Supports heart health
Most people  associate sweat with being uncomfortable: hot, sticky, and tired. But sweat can have some real health benefits, according to Real Simple. Sweating can help support your heart health.

A 2015 study published in JAMA Internal Medicine showed that people who used a sauna regularly were less prone to sudden cardiac death, fatal heart disease, and fatal cardiovascular disease.

The study used a population-based sample of 2,315 middle-aged men from Eastern Finland. The frequency and duration of sauna use was the baseline. The researchers also found that regular sauna use also lowered the blood pressure of the men who suffered from hypertension.

Natural detox
Sweating helps your body detox and get rid of all sorts of potentially harmful materials, from chemicals to bacteria, according to Healthline. This includes detoxing heavy metals that may have accrued due to environmental factors Sweating can also help to remove BPA, a chemical that is found in the manufacture of plastics and resins. So skip the detox drinks and routines and work up a good sweat instead.

Improves mood
Another plus for sweating is that it can help you sleep better and help improve your mood. That’s because sweating helps release endorphins (the happy hormone), according to Real Simple. So not only is a good sweat good for you, it is also good for the people around you.

That’s because when you are hot, your body has to work hard to circulate blood and cool you down. This in turn tells your body to release endorphins. This could in turn cause people around you to release endorphins too.

Good for your skin
Another one of the advantages to sweating is that it can moisturize your skin and keep it healthy. A study published in the journal Allergology International found that sweat is not only an efficient natural moisturizer. In addition, sweat can help prevent microbes from growing and can help bolster your overall immunity by becoming an effective barrier.

Sweat can also help to prevent acne, But you  shouldn’t, however, forget to wash your face after a good sweat. Sweat that lingers can clog pores and cake up the surface of the skin, which could actually lead to acne.

Sweat is one of those things most people don’t tend to spend much time thinking about because it is a regular part of daily life’ especially during the summer.. But instead of complaining about being hot and sweaty, remember that the benefits of sweating far outweigh the inconvenience.
