Israel’s music scene is experiencing a remarkable renewal through Vibez, a new platform dedicated to uniting people through live music. Following the tragedy at the Nova music festival, where many lives were lost, Vibez has emerged as a vital space for Israelis to reconnect with the joy of music and community.
According to the company’s website, more than a simple event listing service, Vibez integrates personalized recommendations, exclusive offers, and community-building tools, fostering an inclusive social experience around music events. It aims to counteract the emotional aftermath of recent traumatic events, helping people feel safe and inspired to participate again in public gatherings.
According to NoCamels, Vibez was launched a few weeks before the massacre at the Nova festival on October 7, but Vibez co-founder and CEO Saar Dovev, explained to NoCamels that it took until mid-March for events in Israel to start running again.
Mission of healing and resilience
The platform is being supported by famous Israeli DJ, David Abramov, known in the Israeli music world as DJ Darwish, whose 20-year-old son Laor was one of the victims in the Nova festival tragedy. Abramov has imbued the platform with a mission of resilience. For him and his team, the platform is not only about creating fun events but about encouraging healing and emotional recovery. Vibez offers people an accessible way to get back into the world of music and dance, even during times when the community may feel reluctant to gather publicly. The platform serves as a reminder of music’s healing power, offering comfort and a way forward for those affected by recent events.
Collective spirit
A central aspect of Vibez is its use of tailored recommendations that allow users to engage with events that match their personal tastes. Members also gain access to exclusive deals and offers, further encouraging active participation. With a supportive network and safety-oriented framework, the platform helps to foster a collective spirit, showing that dancing and celebration can still unite people.
“We built an ecosystem for advanced communities that does much more than just ticketing. We do the whole aspect of member management,” Dovev told NoCamels.
The platform has gained significant traction in Israel, appealing to audiences across age groups and musical preferences. Its commitment to community and healing has inspired plans to expand internationally, with the goal of bringing this model of resilience and community-building to other regions.
Vibez offers Israelis a means to reconnect with themselves and others in a familiar, yet renewed, musical setting. By blending technology and community, Vibez brings hope and resilience to a country healing from immense loss, redefining music as a bridge to unity and joy.
