The sole surviving Pinta Island tortoise of the Galapagos Islands was named Lonesome George. The last of his kind - sadly due to the result of human actions and mismanagement of scarce resources- George didn’t know that he inspired a clothing line in his name, dedicated to social change.

Lonesome George & Co. creates 90% of their designer threads from certified organic Peruvian cotton, and donates 10% of its profits to environmental conservation and creating social change. All of Lonesome George & Co. products - apparel, t-shirts, hoodies, tanks and accessories - are made locally in Peru and the company employs single mothers to embroider the shirts.

Focused on sustainability, Lonesome George & Co. is committed to their Academy of Agents of Change, investing in programs such as Outward Bound Ecuador Foundation, Ashoka Youth Venture, the Scalesia Foundation and the Galapagos Tortoise Programme.
