Korean illustrator Puuung is on a mission to “find the meaning of love in our daily lives” - and if her illustrations are any indication, she has succeeded. Her success is further reflected by the popularity of her Facebook page, which has nearly 150,000 fans from all corners of the earth, and counting, as well as the fact that she’s been featured in publications as diverse as Cosmopolitan and the Huffington Post.

Puuung’s illustrations reflect a love that is subtle and understated, without the pomp and circumstances that usually accompany modern portrayals of romance (although one or two illustrations do feature a few fireworks in the background!). Through their subtlety, Puuung’s illustrations contain some important lessons on what real love looks like.
