The FreeHelpGuy is all about doing good – and using the Internet to maximize his impact. It all started in 2013, when this innovative do gooder used the web to share a vague, open-ended offer to help. The "anonymous free helper," as he calls himself, was inundated with replies – from artists in need of confidence boosts to bone marrow donor requests to world travel tips. In a valiant attempt to assist these people in need, he utilized his contacts on social media to get the word out, and again - the response was overwhelming.
Take this fantastic story, for example. The FreeHelpGuy received a message asking for assistance in reuniting a memory stick found in a bar with its rightful owner. Using a photo from said stick, he posted on Facebook and Twitter – and within an impressive 45 minutes, the owner had been located. The kicker? The FreeHelpGuy was on a boat in Bosnia at the time, picking up a WIFI signal on his cellphone from a river bank café.
He wanted to help everyone – he still does – but he found he needed help to do it. And so he went all-out collaborative, launching a new website for people all over the world to both offer and request help – of all shapes and sizes.  Using the site alongside social media, FreeHelpGuy aspires to harness the collective power of the Internet to do his bit to solve the world's problems.
