If you could ask an actor or actress on the red carpet anything you wanted, what would you ask? This was the question that Amy Poehler posed to teenage girls on Twitter last week, in an effort to steer awards show journalism away from fashion, relationships and trivialities and onto more serious subjects. If last night’s Emmys red carpet was any indication of things to come, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls may have meaningfully changed red carpet coverage for the greater good.
Crowdsourced on Twitter with the hashtag #SmartGirlsAsk, here are a sample of questions that real girls asked and their corresponding responses.
