Like-minded teachers and schools can now find each other with myEDmatch, a job-matching site that efficiently and easily connects teachers and schools. Co-founder Alicia Herald likens myEDmatch to online dating for educational professionals, pairing schools and teachers based on educational philosophies and approaches. The portal allows teachers and schools to create a profile to present who they are, their background and what they are seeking professionally. Both parties fill out a Core Beliefs Profile based on seven core dimensions of education, and from there the matchmaking begins! Using a ClassRank algorithm, suggested matches based on compatible missions, beliefs and goals are proposed to both teachers and schools.
