These Cats Make Pottery With Their Owners
Creative cats get involved in hobbies.
Pets are great companions to have. Whether you are a dog or cat person, bird or fish lover, pets can become your best friends. Recently, social media has been showcasing some above-average skills that pets can have, especially when it comes to cats. Some cat owners share more than their love for each other — they share their hobbies as well.
Sharing a hobby with your pet
If you are an artist, and specifically if you enjoy making pottery, you will be surprised to hear that it is a hobby not unique to humans. Momo, a sweet cat owned by Sophia is featured in this Tik Tok video, getting involved with Sophia’s pottery creation. It is sweet and fun and adds so much personality to otherwise more classic pottery items.
Figaro, another talented feline, is also into pottery and enjoys making it with his mom, Meg. You can see in this YouTube video how Fig puts his paws on the clay and gets involved in the pottery making process. According to Meg, Fig follows her everywhere and loves doing the things she is doing. She was curious when she saw Meg on the pottery wheel and started playing with the clay on the wheel. And the rest is history!
Creating a business for animal lovers
Cat lovers and animal lovers will probably be excited to hear that some of the items made by Momo, Fig and other cats are for sale. According to the blog Inspire More, people are excited about this kind of pottery with each item being truly one-of-a-kind.
Some of these cats’ owners already had pottery businesses, as is the case with Jim from Van Hollow Pottery, explains House Beautiful. His cat, Mike, can be seen in this video trying to spin a mug on the pottery wheel. Although it is unclear if he indeed ended up selling that mug, the interest was definitely there. “Would totally buy some,” a commenter said. And he wasn’t the only one.
It seems like the market is ripe for some pottery and perhaps other items that have meaning to them. Cat-created pottery is a way for the owner to share something they love with someone they love. And although the items may be unique, the feeling is not — these lovely pets and their creations will be enjoyed and appreciated so much more now that they have a paw-fect extra little touch.
