The punchy new start-up, Stockbox Grocers, aims to bring good food back to communities, especially in areas known as “food deserts” - urban spots where healthy and fresh food is hard to find. The Stockbox Grocer model would create miniature grocery stores in accessible locations that are stocked with fresh, local and organic food available at competitive prices.
Launched last year, Stockbox Grocers first neighborhood grocery store will be opening in South Park, Seattle on August 15, 2012. A revamping of the classic corner store, these stores will offer the usual food staples, but also provide healthy foodstuffs with local and organic touches. [Source: Stockbox Grocers]
