One of the best ways to get to know someone is to share a meal. This is the simply brilliant concept behind Out to Dinner, a delicious initiative that aims to foster understanding about LGBT rights.
In households across the US on June 22, straight couples can sign up to host a dinner inviting LGBT couples and those who are still undecided when it comes to LGBT issues. The goal is to bring people together for a simple, enjoyable dinner conversation — steering away from politics and religion — to find out about each other and exchange a few laughs.
Out to Dinner is spearheaded by the charismatic Zach Wahls who is best known for his impassioned speech about gay rights and his two mothers before the Iowa House of Representatives.
