Get the facts: Every 20 minutes the world loses at least one species of animal or plant life - and sometimes more. That means that at least 27,000 species are extinct every year.
Can we do something about it? Absolutely. One way is to take part in Joel Sartore’s Biodiversity Project, wherein the seasoned photographer sells original portraits of animals in danger of extinction. At $40, the price for each photo is pretty modest, and proceeds go towards funding more shoots, which are also backed up by the National Geographic. [Source: Joel Sartore]
