250 cities, 4 million volunteers, 30 million hours of volunteering a year - these impressive stats come from Points of Light, an organization that is committed to volunteer service and making the world a better place.
Inspired by former President George H. W. Bush, the veteran nonprofit holds an annual conference that gathers some of the best and brightest in the world of volunteer and service - engaging individuals from different professional sectors including nonprofit, corporate and government.
This year, the event will be held in Washington DC from June 19 to June 22, and features a wide variety of speakers, informative plenary sessions, workshops and much more. Expecting around 5,000 attendees, the National Conference on Volunteering and Service supports good doing professionals and community leaders alike, with the aim to educate, connect and inspire.
