10 Good Questions with More Good Deeds [Q&A]
Meet Javier Camarasa, co-founder of the More Good Deeds app.
The more good deeds app has a noble goal - to make people happier. By providing a platform on which users can share their good deeds and gratitude, the social venture is boosting positive action around the world. In this 10 Good Questions interview, co-founder Javier Camarasa talks to Goodnet about how the app inspires users and encourages chains of good doing - all over the globe.
1. What is your organization’s mission?
To inspire and encourage people to do more good deeds.
2. What makes you guys different from the rest?
We have created a social app, which people can use to inspire others. When one of our users inspires another user - even if they are in different countries or on different continents - the first user gets notified of the whole chain he has created. In this way, we encourage our users to do more and more good deeds.
3. Offices or open work space?
Open work space always - and in our case each member working from his own country.
4. What three words describe your organization?
more good deeds
5. What inspires you?
Initiatives that have positive impact - to counter all the bad news we digest every day from the newspapers, etc.
6. What is the best part about your job?
When one user inspires another user through our platform.
7. Does your team eat lunch together?
I am pretty sure we would if we lived in same country! Sometimes we do it over Skype.
8. Facebook or Twitter?
Both are great platforms for communication. If we had 1% of their users using our service everyday our world would be that little bit better!
9. What do you want Goodnet users to know about your organization?
We are preparing v.2.0 of more good deeds. The social app will allow people to rebalance negative deeds, with small positive changes - even if it's just recycling or adopting an animal. Let us know your thoughts at hello@moregooddeeds.org We welcome anyone who wants to help.
10. How can people get involved?
Two ways. First way, download the application and do as many good deeds as possible. Second way, send us an email and join our team. We will need as many hands as possible to build v.2.0.
