PAAJAF Foundation

The PAAJAF Foundation (Providing Adolescents and Adults Job for Advancement in Future) is working on behalf of underprivileged children, youth and woman in rural Ghana to end poverty and illiteracy through education and job training. The foundation was established to provide a range of much-needed support services for children, young people and women who live in the village of Gbawe, near Accra.

Cambodian Child’s Dream Organization (CCDO)

Cambodian Child’s Dream Organization (CCDO) is a non-profit and non-political charity organization, officially licensed by Ministry of Interior of Cambodia on 10th Oct 2008 (License No.1269). CCDO hopes to improve health, life expectancy, living conditions and education of the community by providing: clean water wells, toilets, libraries, classrooms, kindergarten, school stationery and sponsoring poor children to go to school.

826 National

826 National is a nonprofit organization that provides strategic leadership, administration, and other resources to ensure the success of its network of eight writing and tutoring centers. 826 centers offer a variety of inventive programs that provide under-resourced students, ages 6-18, with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills. We also aim to help teachers get their classes excited about writing. Our mission is based on the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.

Babble

We created Babble for one very simple reason: we can't find a magazine or community that speaks to us as new parents. Every publication we encounter presents procreation as a cute and cuddly experience, all pink and powder blue, at best an interior decorating opportunity, at worst a housekeeping challenge. None of it is true to the experience we are having, and that we see around us.

Education for the Children

EFTC's mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. We work in partnership with disadvantaged families, children and young adults in Guatemala, Central America to ensure they develop the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. We have a school in Jocotenango, Guatemala: an urban area where extreme poverty, gang crime, domestic violence and alcoholism are everyday realities. Food, healthcare, counselling and career guidance at the school remove obstacles to education and enable these students to realise their potential.

Story Pirates

Story Pirates is a nationally respected education and media organization founded in 2003 to celebrate the words and ideas of young people. By pairing world-class teachers with first-rate actors and comedians, we offer a variety of tools to make learning more engaging and effective. Dually based in New York and Los Angeles, we are best known for the Idea Storm Program, a master-class writing workshop that brings teaching concepts to life, followed by a musical sketch comedy show featuring stories by students and performed by professional artists.

School Girls Unite

School Girls Unite began in a small café back in 2004 after a group of 12 year olds and young African women discussed the discrimination felt by girls in many developing countries. We aim to fight this discrimination, and advocate the powers of educating girls. We think education is the starting point to solving almost every other problem, including reducing diseases and ending poverty, and eventually increasing the number of women in leadership positions throughout the world.
School Girls Unite is comprised of chapters in the United States and Mali, Africa. Our incredible sister organization in Mali is called Les Filles Unies pour l’Education. We run a scholarship program in Mali, as well as provide leadership opportunities for youth in the US.

Pals Socks

Pals are mismatched sock pairs of characters and creatures who 'de-feet' the norm by being friends.  Our message is that it's awesome to be friends with someone different. We want to help kids always keep an open mind, make different kinds of friends, and have new experiences.

Volunteering India

Volunteering India provides the safest Gap Year, volunteering and internship opportunities in three different regions in India: Delhi, Dharamsala and South India. Programs cover teaching, orphanage and childcare, working with street children, medical volunteering, women empowerment as well as dental and medical internship opportunities.

PeacePlayers International

Based on the premise that “children who play together can learn to live together,” PeacePlayers International's mission is to unite, educate and inspire young people in divided communities through basketball. Since inception in 2001, PPI has impacted more than 69,000 youth and trained 1,764 coaches from 15 countries in a groundbreaking peacebuilding-and-leadership development curriculum. Through year-round sports activities, PPI is bringing together children from opposite sides of religious, ethnic and cultural divides to develop friendship and mutual respect.
