A Modern Twist on the Classic Snow Globe

No Globes increase awareness about pollution

Snow globes are the classic memento from a trip: alpine meadows and cute little figurines come to mind. No Globes, the brainchild of the Dorothy design team, offer a stark alternative: instead of white snowflakes dotting a picturesque scene, it's black grime and soot that covers a universe of polluted power plants.
Dorothy was inspired to create No Globes prior to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2009. Citing burning coal as the greatest threat to climate change, Dorothy's mission with No Globes is to draw attention to the proposed construction of coal power stations in the UK.
By transforming an household item that epitomizes beauty and simplicity into something different altogether, No Globes' impact ranks high. [Source: Dorothy]
